I have a PC running Media Center 2005 connected to a Panny PW7 by VGA. The resolution is [email protected] The sound goes in analogue from a SB Audigy to a Cambridge Audio 640A.
The picture is very impressive, but the lip sync is out. After much hunting around, I found that the nVidia MPEG2 codec can delay the sound in software, so I can avoid the ~£100 boxes.
I'm convinced setting the delay to 100ms has helped things. But it's hard to determine if there's a better figure because I'm so used to watching it out of sync.
Is there a spec. or something that can tell me what it should actually be?
TIA,
