All the 360 controllers work with all the consoles regardless of colour, wires or otherwise, it's fine. And 4 hours sounds very low - my rechargeable battery packs go about 10-15 hours or so before they start flashing.

I use the official power packs with the charge station and they last about a week or more, sometimes 2 weeks.

I use fairly high capacity rechargable batteries (2400mah I think) and they last ages...far more than 4 hours.

Also, even when the controller starts flashing to let you know the batteries are low they still go on for an hour or so.

I usually keep a spare couple of charged up bateries just in case they die mid session, and if you can get them for £1.49 as per the post below what a bargain...

Watch out though folks.. the Chatpad drains the controller a lot quicker... using 2500mAh batteries and I'm cycling them a lot more since I got it (mebbe I just type a lot!) :rotfl:

I've got some rechargeable AA's that I used with my wii, but they don't fit in the 360 controller - well they would go in, but i wouldn't get them back out. Had to use my teeth and a knife when i got them stuck half way!
I've got two types: 2500 energizer which are labelled hr6 or similar, and some uniross 2700's. Neither are labelled LR6 - like the energizer batteries that came with the 360.

So do your batteries get stuck? and if not what make are they or are they LR6 or HR6 or anything else?

    Thanks

I use energizer rechargebles and they last days on end If i had to guess I would say a good 24hrs of gaming non-stop.

Mine used to get stuck in one of my two controllers. That was until I dropped it, and the battery compartment fell apart. After a bit of sucesfull gluing it was no longer a tight fit. I wouldnt recomment that approach though.

Eneloop is one of best recharging batteries with one of lowest self discharge rates and memory effects.

Can you recharge batteries with play and charge kit, with batteries in 360 controller?
