My new plasma has arrived and I'm curious about lip-sync issues discussed here. My AV processor (Tag AV32R) has the facility to delay audio by up to 80ms. How much video delay will my plasma (Panny 37W5B with RCA board) introduce while it is processing the video signal?

    Regards

    Rob

The commonly held belief is that the screen itself will introduce approximately 80ms due to the way in which it assembles and scales the image. Sky can add to this for poorly synched channels. Type "Lip Sync" in the search and you'll find a lot of discussion on this topic.

    Good luck.
