The story of how i got an REL Q100E sub for £30 !!

Bought sub on ebay, private seller in london.

He sends sub parcelforce 24hr service (well wrapped) i pay £30 for delivery.

Parcelforce damage a corner of the sub. (repairable)

I claim £250 from parcel force for damage and include pics and a printout of ebay page to show what i paid.

30 Days later a cheque for £250 lands on my doormat !

    Thanks Parcelforce !!

I bought one from a second hand dealer about 18 months ago for £50 :)
I realy dont think he knew what it was and how much it was worth.
I just about ran from the shop when id paid for it...just about as it was so heavy :)

so you're telling us that insurance pays for damaged goods that are insured. Quite a revelation.

Congrats on your good fortune but it doesn't really help the rest of us, does it?

So what your saying is that you ripped them off, they paid you full price when they could have paid for a repair :nono: .I dont think i would be bragging about that on a web site.

bob1, there seems to be alot of sour grapes here in this thread !

No i didnt rip them off ! I submitted a claim to replace my sub, it is parcelforce that paid me full price and didnt take the sub.

All the documentation i sent to parcelforce showed damage to sub, they could of sent an assesor round to inspect the sub and packaging it was sent in, they chose not too.

    Bob1 - if you think that's bad, I ordered a Q200 and the on-line retailer sent me 2

Kept one, sold one for the original price - Q200 for free

    sorry had to do it

Isn't what jonnyv really saying that Parcel Force insurance is actually worth it. Yes they did damage his sub in the post - which is bad - but in the end he's come out of it fine as they have payed out on the insurance?

There have been quite a few posts critisising Parcel Force ... here's one for a change praising the service from them.
