Those are the Kef Q series high up there!!
I havent heard the kef 2005 but do have the q series. Information i've read claims its better to have your surrounds at ear level, except di-poles but thats a whole other discussion that. The uni-q drivers in kefs give them a very wide dispersion so if you mount them higher up and face them down towards the listening position I see no reason why it shouldn't sound good.

It depends on how far away your listening position is from the rear speakers. In some former apartment I had the rears mounted on a beam, more or less above me (since the room was somewhat short).
This didn't sound good, in fact the speakers were "shouting above me", thus actually not providing any proper rear effects. I did prefer this to the rears being placed on stands just left and right of the sofa since that was too close and became quickly too annoying.
Neither was nowhere near a satisfactory solution however and only solved after I moved.
