How happy your kids were with the presents?

One of the most important things in the whole Christmas:
How happy your kids or loved ones were with the presents you bought?

Did you buy them exactly what they wanted or they got a nice surprise? Or maybe you bought them something they didn't want at all? ;)

Did the smile, did they laugh, or did they cry? :)

I must admit I love giving presents much more than receiving them.

My ten year old was delighted with his PS4 and new Nerf gun - a brief respite from the flu. Hes now put them to one side and cuddled up in a blanket on the sofa, not a day for feeling ill!

Everyone seems happy, no real huge presents this year for my girls as they don't need anything, so just lots of useful stuff for them which they appreciate.

The kids are happy with what they have opened so far, but the Mrs makes present opening last all day long so they don't rip through the lot in 5 minutes! :D

Not good - there were tears and tantrums - not sure how to recover really.

Edit: didn't see the 'kids' in the title - yes they are thrilled. Just had their first boardgame of Cluedo - for the younger members it's like a printout of a computer game.

My girl was very happy! She knows our financial issues with me etc and we told her that out of the two main presents of a Wii U and those Hoverboard things, she was only getting one.
However, we managed to get both and other bits.
Happy days!!

Considering this year has been a pretty crap year and money is tight, the kids seem very happy despite usually not being very grateful normally!
My eldest has moaned a bit about his sisters toys being cooler and keeps riding our youngests trailer which isn't designed for riding on!
So my kids have pleasantly surprised me at the end of a very stressful year

My 4 year old saw his pile of presents and and said 'wow, I only put 3 things on my list!'.

We've been a lot firmer with people buying him things this year, it's a waste of money when kids get so much stuff half of it never gets touched.

No really they have been brill and understand and are gratfull for what they get. They know they carn't have all they want with only my wage.

Our 6 year old was very happy with what she got, she gets far to much though every year and I know a lot of it will never get used. Tomorrow will be spent finding homes for stuff she won't play with, the same as last year. Drives me mad really but when I tell the grandparents etc to just buy her one gift they never listen.

I went to visit my sister and her little boy opened the first present he laid his hands on and played with it all day. There is a sack of presents for him unopened. I'm sure most cases it's the parents buying to much rather than the kids asking for everything.

Both kids got a mountain of sweets and chocolate and a lot of money. They don't really appreciate anything so i have to keep calm as they move on from present to present.

The oldest son wanted an I phone 6 but that was never happening - he got an I Phone 5 (which i still think he is too young for at 14 bah humbug)

I was happy with my Boba Fett build a bear!!

My youngest daughter (13 nearly) got a Nerf shotgun thing, she has barely put the it down and even last night watching a film she had it next to her as if she was guarding against an invasion of some sort

I know we are very late to the Wii flinging controller games, but just had a lot of laughs on Wii Sports, which santa brought after the 4yo asked for a bow and arrow for Christmas but a digital version was thought safer :)
