I've currently got the output from my Arcam DV27 going into my (version 1) Sky+ box's "VCR" scart socket; the Sky+ scart output goes to the TV. (The TV has only one RGB-compatible scart socket).

I've been wondering if the quality of the DVD output would improve perceptibly as a result of my buying a dedicated scart switcher instead (e.g. a Quintro, or something fancier). How good or bad is the Sky+ pass-through compared to other switching devices? Or, to put it another way, how much would I have to spend on a video switcher for there to be a visible improvement?

    Hi,
I use the same idea with my xbox and the picture quality is superb.

The sky+ box does an excellent job of passing through an RGB signal.:smashin:

    Well, mine certainly does. :)

I can't say for certain if the version 2 box does.
