Two choices. Please only vote if you are a wii owner or have had a fair amount of time on wii.

I didn't vote for either option, because i feel it depends on the type of game really.

I'm sure it does depend on the type of game but I was just looking for an overall rough guide as it would be too complicated to include all options. I.e. if you play mainly race games and the wii controller isn't very good for them then you would choose conventional.

there should be a thirds option - "depends on the game"

Same as asking if i prefer the DS touchscreen or the buttons/pad - it's completely game dependant.

Also the Wii's only been out a few weeks, surely this should be asked in a years time?

As I'm mainly into FPS and action games I think the new controll scheme will add a lot in terms of gameplay. Combining GOW with the wii controller would be great.

Only problem I have with the controller is that it's difficult to have a ciggarette whilst playing games like zelda. But other than that I think it's great, and I can always have a ciggie while I check my wii fitness age :D

Surely if that third option was given then 100% of the vote would go that way. I would have thought that once people use the wii controller after a short while they would understand what its capable of and be able to work out in their own mind what games it would benefit. Thats just my theory though.

That sounds like a brilliant bonus to the wii controller in that you might get to see your grandchildren and not be rotting away in some wood box six foot down.

I've gone with the top option although the poll doesn't really cover all the options...

From a technical view it is top notch. It feels nice in your hand, has a nice weight to it without being too heavy and there is no lag, so it is very well designed. Whether or not the devs can utilize it to its full potential remains to be seen...

The polls already massively weighted one way.

I still love it - im sure it does depend on the game but I like the movement in zelda as you're not restricted to keeping your hands together in one place - not really something I've ever had a problem with admittedly I just like it

I don't think they were concerned with smokers when designing the controller! :rotfl:

I have noticed the Wii has kinda of replaced my evening drinking though, I used to get ****** a few times during the week, but now play Zelda :)
