Afternoon all,

Apology is this is not the right place to post this but I need advice or recommendation on the best product to get rid of dust for good.

The room I have my home cinema set up in seems to have a dust problem. Every time I clean the room and clean my av stuff, the dust seem to come back and i see it on my home cinema stuff, cabinet and so on.

I was searching on eBay and saw this: NEW FRESH AIR GLOBE PURIFIER IONISER & HUMIDIFIER COLOUR CHANGING LED LIGHT | eBay

Not sure how effective air purifier are at combating dust so would love to hear from any one who has used similar air purifier to fight dust and did it get rid of the dust for good.

If air purifier wont work, what other products out there would get the job done.

I would have thought not very effective, otherwise every house in the country would have one one. If you look in the projector forums, they try to protect the PJ from the dust, rather than combat it on a room wide level !

If there was a one shot solution, they would use it !

Rather than just keep the projector dust free, I would like to keep the room dust free all together. My av receiver, tv, tivo box and other stuff are covered in dust and comes back almost day after I clean the room and my set up.

I am also upgrading some of my system and dont want to put new stuff in there till the room is dust free.

As you said, didnt think so to that the air purifier in the link would work hence why I started a thread on here to find a product that could work.

I have also researched this. The first tip is to ensure that whatever you are using to vacuum, is it actually working or is it blowing it and re-distributing the dust back round the room?

So, first question, is how good is your vacuum at removing the dust?
