Hello,

I've been unlucky with my screen purchase and I can see one way out...

I purchased an electric screen from Visunext.
They delivered, I installed.
I noticed there was a mark on the actual material and they sent a replacement.
The replacement has arrived with a casing damaged in transit.
I still have the original screen.

I'm wondering if it is achievable to take them apart and put the new roll of material/screen into the previous casing?

Has anyone done this?

I would say it is eminently doable (all things being equal and if it is readily dismantlable) but as for if someone has blazed a trail before you.... Well, you will be lucky if someone has I think.

Thank you. I should have updated this to say - I did it!

It wasn't that difficult but equally not very easy either.
I undid the endcaps.
Disconnected wiring at one end and removed the motor (still wired) at the other.
I then unscrewed the fixings holding the screen in place within the frame.
I was then able to slide the material (on a roll) out of the casing.

I repeated the process on the other screen and reverse fitted the new roll in the old case.

Phew!

Nice. Might be an idea to document the process and post here for future reference. Even if people have a different screen, it may still prove useful.
Up to you entirely of course. :smashin:
