    Dear All,

It would seem that the best deals to be had are only with new contracts. I wish to stay with Orange but have given them a months notice and requested my PAC number.

If I start a new contract, can I utillise my PAC number to keep my exisiting number?

    Thanks

    :lease:

You provide this number to your new network provider and they port your number over to them. I belive orange send you this as a txt message.

they dont allow Orange->Orange number transfers

so you will need to port the number to another network (eg get a new PAYG sim from O2 and port the number to that) and then when you have setup your orange contract get a PAC code from O2 and then give it to Orange and port the number to them

With Orange you can port a number in up to 1 month after the start of the new contract, so you have got plenty of time to do it
