interested in buying a dvd recorder to go with my new skyplus box but basically i dont wanna have a ns900 sky plus and a dvd recorder so does the recorder match up to a standalone?????

no, pioneer DVDR7100 @ £1300 might but thats about it.
The best within sensible bounds is The Pioneer DVR3100 I found the playback much better than the Sony.

jesuso it looks like another box on the rack more cables and another power socket lol but on the other hand more flexibility
