How do you switch off the 32wl56 ???

    the buttons on top of the lcd do work, ie the panel is not locked..but i can`t seem to switch off the bloody thing.....have to leave it on standby....am i missing anything ????

    no your not missing anything most if not all lcds tvs are made this way dont now why my lcd is the same why do you want to turn it of anyway.

    THAKS FOR ANSWERING.....but do you own the same model as mine.....the 32wl56 ? i had the 32wl48...and i could use the top button to switch it off...i just found it odd that i couldn`t switch it off, that`s all

    @pentagon what do you think of the 32wl56 over the 32wl48 then.

    have a look for a rocker switch near the mains lead. All the LCD's I have had aim for standby as the norm but still have a on/off switch hidden away.

    i must admit the 32wl48 had a slightly better picture quality than this 32wl56.....but it had some backlight showing and had to have it replaced.....other than that...........it`s a good panel, i`m happy with it

    @ pentagon. What do you mean by backlight showing.

    by backlight i mean i had a "white patch of light " on lower right...very pronounced especially on a black background
