How do you fish on zelda twilight princess?

    Ive tried and failed at fishing ive tried looking in the booklet but its to brief can some one give me a better idea of how catch and bring in the fish.
    (this is the part where you have to get fish for the cat)

    put the line in the water then when you feel the remote vibrate pull upwards and you should of hooked a fish

    I use a slightly different approach :)

    Cast off, (you then automatically zoom into the float), I leave a little slack on the line this means that when a fish hooks itself you can watch the float being pulled down, when the float goes almost fully under water pull back the rod quickly (flick the wiiremote up, quickly!!), you'll get a message on the screen saying you've hooked a fish, at this point take the numchuck and rotate it clockwise next to the wiiremote mimicking a real fishing rod, angle the wiiremote up a little, again mimicking a real fishing rod, and thats it:)
