How do you embed a Youtube video?

Keep meaning to ask, but I always forget

I've searched the help section but couldn't find the answer, so I thought I'd ask here.

So, if I wanted to embed a Youtube video into a post, I go to Youtube, click on share and copy the embed code, then what?

When I've tried it before, I just get several lines of code appearing in my post, no video, so I have to just post the link.

I'm sure it's something completely obvious, but I can't see it

I just copy the URL off the browser address bar and then just paste it into the post. Nothing more.

This is what you get if you do that.



And if you copy the share and copy, you get this:

You can do Show Options and tick long link, I think there is a way to default it too.
