I've found a camera the Fuji Fine Pix 96000 online at 293 (free postage +packaging) on Amazon -and the same camera is advertised on Jessops online store at 399.99 + 4.99 p+p.

Now if i went into the shop at Jessops, do you think i'l get it for the same price at 293?

I'd be prepared to pay there and then.

Or am i making the wrong choice...... :lease:

Get what you think will be the best camera for your needs at the lowest price you can find . . so why not via Amazon? It's even cheaper here.

As long as you print off your page from Amazon and take it with you they should do

At the moment they won't. Head office told all stores that zero discounting was allowed over the christmas period. This, predictably, resulted in huge losses of sales.

No price matching at all SHOULD be happening at the moment, not even local price matching.

Expect the price match policy to come back when they next feel like it

Yep they told me the same thing two weeks ago, but that price-matching would start again sometime in January. So I told them ... bye bye!!!

Maybe their year-end trading results are on the edge if they can't afford to shift stock at less that what they've 'valued' it at.

You don't barter anyway, you present the print out and if they don't like it they won't match it :( Saw a few people leaving while I was waiting to be served and they just weren't happy with the prices :(
