how do I use my av fronts for hi fi

    hi guys can anyone tell me is it possible to use my 601s that I use for my av fronts, also with a hi fi amp How would I wire them? thanks

    I presume you have a higher quality stereo amp than your AV amp by your question.
    In that case (and assuming your AV amp has pre amp outputs) why not leave your main speakers connected to the stereo amp and drive a spare line input on that amp from the AV L&R outputs when you are watching films.
    You will need to set up your speaker levels with the stereo amp at a known volume level. Best way to do this is to leave the AV L&R level settings the same as your centre then match the left and right channels to the centre with the stereo amp volume. Then either note or mark the amp where this 'calibrated' level is and always leave it at this when using the AV.

    This is possible but not ideal- there will be tonal and phase differences with the rest of the channels.
    I face the same problem, maybe I'll try relays.
