I have Sky+ in my kitchen
How can I watch seperate channels in 2 rooms simultaneously ?
Can I use an old sky box and run a spare cable from the quad LMB ?

thanks for your reply JayCee . So I'd need to run a spare cable from the LMB to my old sky box yes ? then I would be able to use the old remote to control the old sky box and view one channel from my Sky+ ?

Would I still be able to pause and record one channel on the Sky+ box ?

    Just buy a quad LNB.

That way you get what you want. No sacrifice of recording.

I thought I had a quad LMB is the standard SKY+ just a double then yes?

How exactly would using a quad work with 2x tv's ?

To be able to watch different subscription channels in different rooms at the same time you need Sky Multiroom .
This requires another card from Sky which will get the same channels as the main card and costs £9.75/month with both boxes connected to the same phone line at all times.
If you want to watch only the free channels on the second box then no extra subscription is needed (or phone line connection) but you may consider getting a freesatfromsky card (£19.57 one time payment from Sky) which will ensure the correct BBC1/ITV1 regions, C4 and FIVE on the EPG and enable Sky3/Setanta Sports News etc.

To feed the extra receiver simply take a lead from any spare outlet on the quad LNB.
The outputs on the LNB are independent of each other and your Sky+ box will function exactly as it always has

Doesn't the fact that three different people have told you that it is an LNB (Low Noise Block detector) give you any hint that you might be calling it by the wrong name?
