I recently purchased a cannon mv5imc digital camcorder. The only problem I have with it is that the internal microphone picks up the tape head motor noise. Can any one point me in the direction of how I can remove this noise, I've tried the remove wind noise filter and this does not work.

Your camcorder requires a SA-1 Adapter Bracket or equivalent and a wired mic. this will fix the noise problem but somewhat offsets the size advantage. I use the Sima Video Bracket (Model SVB-1) with an extension bar to clear the LCD screen. This bracket has 2 accessory shoes ie mic & light.
