Apologies for asking a question which seems to have been asked lots of times but all concerning different equipment,
Can someone help explain in simple terms exactly what goes where to enable me to record from freeview to DVDR with the following equipment?
    Sagem Digi box = 2xs scarts,Top one=TV, Bottom one=VCR
    Panasonic DMR-ES10 dvdr=2xscarts,Top one=AV1(TV) Bottom=(AV2EXT)
    Sony KV-32CS70U TV=3xscarts,Bottom Left=SCART 1,
    Bottom Right=SCART2-(DVD)
    Top scart=SCART3-SMARTLINK(VCR)
Quite simply what goes where including any other connections, aerial etc.
Hope someone can help as I have tried various configurations without success.
    Cheers,
    Stevie..

This is how I think you should have your SCART leads configured:

    TV AV2* to DVD AV1
DVD AV2 to Sat VCR Scart socket
TV AV1 to Sat TV Scart socket

    * This needs to be the socket that controls smartlink or q-link functions so for your TV you may need to use the AV3

Aerial socket into Digi Box first then daisy chain to DVD then TV, or if you have two outputs from the digi box one can be connected direct to TV.

If you have an old VCR you can connect this via other connections into the back of the DVD. You may have to demote this to a player only unless there are both in and out options on the back of the DVD. Alternatively as you have a spare scart socket on your TV the old VCR could be connected into that.

    Hope this helps

    Many thanks Mike,
Hooked it up this morning as you suggested and it worked a treat.
