    HI

I want to have some photo cd's made to show on my dvd player, a Toshiba sd-510, a friend has put some photo's on a cdr for me with Nero but I get a no disc error on the display of my dvd player.
Should any perticuler software be used to make photo dc's? if so which one.

    Thanks for any help.

Can your DVd player read CRD disc?
If it can then is must have something to do with the way Nero sets up a photo CD. Myabe your DVD player can't read them.

Have you tried the disk on your PC's CD rom drive?

Yes my dvd player will read cdr and cd-rw discs.
 the cdr disc is blank when I put it into my dvd rom drive on my pc, he also did me a copy on a cd-rw disc, this has the photos on it, but just the pics no slide show on the disc, I guess the pics must be written to the disc with some photo software, I will pop over to www.download.com to see whats available.

Try ulead dvd pictureshow, it lets you select the pics, put menus in for different events and also select mp3s as backing tracks.

It will then allow you to write the disc in vcd format.

    Results are very good indeed.

VCDEasy is a very good program that also supports Hi-Res VCD stills and anamorphic images. It has is own built in burning software and image conversion program. If your looking to just put all those digital camera shots on your tv I can think of no better program.

If you after a menu driven system, use the original Philips VCD toolkit 2.0 it's old but very comprehensive and also supports hires stills.

Programs like Video CD Creator/Ulead etc are good but don't support hires stills.
