I've had SKY+ for about 4 months. I had an Amstrad V2 box - that at somepoint got some kind of firmware upgrade that allowed me to do interactive stuff during live Pause and allowed me to select which Footbal First match I want to record etc...

The problem is, the Hard drive failed in it and SKY have replaced it with a reconditioned Pace v2 box. The box looks new in every way, but the firmware doesn't let me do the things the old one used to. Is there some kind of installer setup to force a firmware update?

    Thanks

ok, this is wat u do..... read the guide through BEFORE u do it ok?

    turn on tv. NOT SKY

turn off sky box at plug

    count to 10

hold down BACKUP on THE BOX not the remote.

WHILST HOLDING IN THE BACKUP BUTTON turn the plug for sky back on.

keep it held in, then the tv screen should change (if u have it on scart it should, if on co-ax then you'll need to set your tv to the sky channel first)

basically a black screen with white writing telling you that it is downloading update!

it'll take 10-15 mins depending on how big the update is (downloading via dish!)

once done the box will restart itself and you can see if your interactive stuff is back.

good luck! let us know how u get on.
