    Hi

I have SKY+ in m y lounge and my cinema is at the back of the house.
What is the best way to get the signal into my TV card in my PC?
I know about the video senders, but was unsure about the input/output. Is it composite or s-video etc.

Could I have a box that will split audio and video in RGB?

    Cheers

    Chris

I believe that the sky+ box, unlike most sky boxes, actually has s-video out.

I think video senders only work with composite video... at least, the quality is that of composite video or worse.

What I've done is to get something called KAT5... which lets you send s-video and audio over normal cat5 cable long distances without interference.

The KAT5 stuff is awesome, check it out here

Keith is a good guy and makes them up to order. The SVideo signal is very clean.

Seconded. Keith's a star. Answered shed-loads of silly questions from me :)

I had an original pace digibox with only RGB or composite out, so I use a RGB to s-video converter from http://www.rgbtosvideo.com. Works a treat.

I want to try the Kat5 solution too. Does Keith do any boxes that also handle IR commands yet?

Ideally for me I'd like SKy+ box in HT but FULLY functioning in living room.

    Mark.
