I have just completed my first attempt at editing using Windows Movie Maker after capturing via I-link from my Sony VX 2000. How do I get my edited video back onto a blank tape in my camcorder using my i-link so I can connect it to my TV and show it to my family? Help much appreciated

WHich version of movie maker were you using? one or two?

Download 2 it's free and 100% better than cruddy one. You can add titles for starters.

Amyways, back to question, when you finished editing there should be an option in movie maker to 'send to DV camera' which will then render your movie and then record it to camera.

You need to make sure your camera is connected to firewire/ilink and has a tape in it, at the correct place to record.

That is it.

Make sure you camcorder is connected via firewire to your PC.
Set the camcorder to VCR mode
Open Movie Maker 2
Load your edited footage/project
On the menu on the left of the screen go down to '3. Finish Movie'
Under there is an option 'Send to DV camera'
Click on that and Movie Maker 2 will do all the rest for you.

Mark.

Thanks for your replies. I had movie maker 1 and have now downloaded movie maker 2 and successfully sent my finished project back to my camera! Your help much appreciated
