Hi I own a tosh 32 recorder and have afilm I need to burn several times to dvd when I click on dub selected items and message shows that the film will exceed the space on the disc, I tried a rate conversion last night to HDD in the hope to burn it to disc this morning but I still have the same problem, any suggestions would be greatful.

    thanks

Perhaps you have not set the rate for the DVD record - I think the HDD and DVD rates are set to the same by default when the machine is first powered up from new. You need to go to the AV Record Quality menu - you will see that you can change both the HDD and DVD rates separately.

you recorded it to the HDD at a rate which is too high to fit the film onto a single -R

you need to do a rate conversion dub HDD to HDD at a rate of 3.2
