Are you talking xbox or xbox 360 ? Why are you trying to connect to a PC ? To play on your monitor or to access data on the xbox ?

No real way of connecting the XBox to your PC to use that monitor other than a TV capture card (which will have lag)

The 360 has a VGA cable which would let you to connect directly to your monitor - if you bought a VGA switch you could switch the monitor between your 360 and your PC.

The 360 can also be networked to your PC over an Ethernet or WiFi connection (if you use the MS WiFi adaptor) to allow you to use it as a Media Center extender (i.e. watch TV streamed from your PC to your 360) WiFi not good for video streaming - but fine for audio. 100Mbs Ethernet fine for both.
