How do I connect my Logitech x-530 to my TV?

I apologise for this amateurish question but I just bought the Logitech x-530 5.1 with the intention of using it on my Samsung 3DTV - I am aware that connecting it to the TV will not result in 'real' 5.1 but rather a simulated surround sound effect, however that will still be better than what I currently have. I have the 'videogame adapter' where the three wires from the subwoofer go to (and on the other side would be red-and-white RCA cables).

Connected to my TV currently are my Sky+ HD box, my PS3, and my Wii. I know I can plug it into the headphone jack but was told that this would result in only the front left and front right speakers working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in connecting these to my TV so that all the speakers will work.

Did you actually try it? I was under the impression that the RCA adapter caused the rear and centre speakers to mirror what the front speakers are playing back!?

Yes you are absolutely right - I used a 3.5mm-to-RCA adapter from the headphone jack to videogame adapter which emitted sounds from all speakers, with front-left-and-rear-left the same, and ditto with front-right-and-rear-right.

Thanks!

Can you please check if there is any audio coming from the Centre speaker when you use the RCA adapter?¿

Thanks!

Oh and feel free to give your opinion here about the speakers, might help others make up their mind.

Hi,

Certainly, I'll test it again in a moment (currently setting up my room as I'm adding other stuff as well).

I do have another question though: I can't get the rear speakers to the back of my room, and was wondering what extension cables I would need to buy (and anything else if need be to have them connected).

Thanks, I just now purchased them so am waiting for them to arrive. I can also confirm that audio does come out of the centre speaker, the subwoofer, etc. when using the RCA adapter. I watched Tron: Legacy and the centre speaker played the music wonderfully, the bass was spectacular thanks to the subwoofer, and there was nice joy to hear the door slam from the rear left speaker (I later realized I hadn't plugged in the front left speaker!).
