    Hi All,

This is my first post so sorry if its in the wrong forum, but I wasnt sure where to post it.
I have Sky HD on order but not due for a fortnight so question 1 is with Sky Plus and question 2 is with Sky HD

    My question is this:

    1. What is the best connection configuration for the following:
Samsung LE40M86BD LCD TV (3x HDMI)
    Samsung DVD-SH855M DVD / HDD Recorder (1xHDMI)
    Sky Plus+

    2. What is the best connection configuration for the following:
Samsung LE40M86BD LCD TV (3x HDMI)
    Samsung DVD-SH855M DVD / HDD Recorder (1xHDMI)
    Sky HD

All the units have Scart Skts as well but not sure which combination of everything I should use.

I have read all 3 manuals however they all seem to contradict each other ie DVD says aerial into this, Sky says it should be into it and TV says into it, DVD says connect Sky to DVD however Sky says the opposite way.

So basically which should I do for best results and to be able to record to DVD from Sky.

I kind of think that in question 1 the DVD is probably the main product for best results, whereas the Sky HD will be when I get it installed.

However I want to sort it out now to proove everything wors ok.

    Many Thanks

    Hi
I would put the aerial cable to the dvd rec then loop through to the tv.
Hdmi from the dvd to tv
for the time being if you have an rgb enabled scart on the tv then use this for sky+ then connect the dvd rec to the other sky+ scart if your dvd rec has an rgb scart use this for your sky+.
When your sky hd turns up use hdmi from this to the tv then use the same scart as before for your dvd recorder.
    hope this helps.
