I have a standard NTL cable installation which goes to the usual General Instruments black box.

I would like to install another box (which I already have) in a spare bedroom.

    Has anyone done this?

    Idiot's guide gratefully accepted.

    Cheers

    :)

I think that the engineers have to come out, drill another hole in your wall and put in a new cable point. That's what they had to do here when I wanted an internet access point upstairs.

A possible solution may be to get a Digisender Gold which I believe Argos are selling. That will relay the sound + video from your existing box to your spare room and transmit your remote control signals back the other way. The main downside is that you can't watch different things in different rooms.

    Regards
