Still looking at getting a laptop, but unsure what to go for.

Checking the Acer laptops, you really seem to get a good spec for the money. But what are they like, are they any good?

In particular what are the screens like on the WXGA models? How well do they compare to the Compaq TruBrite screens?

Not so sure about now but at one point, whilst relatively lesser known they where the third largest box shifter in the world!

As a business, we have moved away from HP/Compaq and only buy Acer laptops, very good spec for the money with a very low failure rate (In my experience)

Just my Opinion, Hope this helps

My neice got one for her 18th Birthday and it's excellent spec for a very good price. It has performed faultlessly since she's had it.

    Thanks for all the information.

Anyone have any comments on how the screens compare to the TruBrite or DiamondView screens?

    Hi all

I have an Acer Aspire 1605 which is now on it's 4th mother board change in 2 years due to over heating. I have just purchased a Dell 9300 to replace it.
