I,ve had my Nokia digi box switched out for a few months and have now re-installed it and I was surprised to see E4, UKTV GOLD amongst others; no pictures mind you, but they weren,t there last time.
Can someone explain why and also what is the default access to download any upgrades for the Nokia 221T and is there anything new to upgrade?

Those channels are part of the TUTV subscription package which probably launched after you had switched off the STB, when you switched it back on it did a fresh scan and found the new channels.

As I understand it software upgrades are done on a manufacturer/model basis at a specific time decided by them, not at a users request.

So your not keen on Top Up TV then Martin? Have to admit I agree - I think it's wasted bandwidth which should be kept for more free channels or even a High Def one in the longer term.

Total joke - one of the channels is FTA on DSTV, 2 are ex FTA on DSTV, and they are all part time.

And they also did On/ITVdigitals mistake no Discovery Wings (dropped in November before shutdown)

AT least the 15 channels for £3 per month was not a rip off rather than the £8 for 3 1/2 streams split into 8 part time channels.

I want analogue switch off - so I can have HDTV
