How can you calibrate the h9g if the menu changes your readings?

Novice Member
I am trying to calibrate my Hisense H9G with ChromaPure and the X-rite i1 pro meter. So when the Hisense menu is open it not only covers almost half the screen it changes the gamma output and white balance readings.

I was able to consistently measure significant gamma changes and subtle white balance changes on the same swatch depending on if the menu was open or not.

Is it in fact impossible to make a change to the TVs gamma / white balance without the full menu open?

This seems like a major problem as it's 3-4 screens deep to get to the adjustments.

So to get an accurate measure I think I would have to take a measure in CP, open the menu, go in four screens deep and make an adjustment, back out four screens, take another reading in CP and repeat. There has to be a better way..?
