Some month back I jumped at the chance of buying a Toshiba 42WP27 from RS for £2999 (at the time they were £3199).

I didn't even think about its origin, however after reading all about the issues with Euro models, I think its time that I found out whether mine is a UK version or not.

Is there an easy way to find out?

There are no issues withthe euro model. The only way you can tell is on the original packaging, and if it shipped with a euro power lead, though they often swap them out in the warehouse.

I still have the original packaging.. What about this packaging will tell me whether its a Euro or UK model. What am I looking for.

It did come with a UK mains plug and I have a feeling that the box with all of the accessories was sealed, but I can't remember.

Either way, the main box was opened, as they had to stuck the Input card inside the box.

Are you saying thought, that whether its a Euro or UK model, I will have a 2 year warantee???

Yes, basically. With the panasonic screen that it's a clone of, there is a different model no. on euro screens, though they are identical. It's all stupid really
