How can i get my davs 800 to auto switch

    Hi all
    i have a sony davs 800 and was wondering if i could somehow get it to auto switch to the av channel the davs dosent have a rgb scart socket so im stuffed really
    ive just purchased a sony kvfs36 tv and the ample scart sockets are there but i hope i can auto switch the dvd player like all the other equip ,sky+,vcr
    im connecting via a svhs to scart cable ixos 1 and in to svhs scart socket
    any ideas,equip,advice

    if you mean widescreen switching then you're out of luck. the widescreen switching is done by sending a signal/voltage via one of the pins in your SCART. If you're connecting via s-video, which imagine you're doing, then the signal is not present.

    i was asking about switching to the av channel when i turn the dvd player on ,sky+ and the vcr both auot switch to there assigned av channels,av1,av2

    All u can do is assign the av input to a channel number at least this will be better than having to scroll through the avs,I hope this helps
