Moving to a new house at the end of June, already got Sky+ and multiroom and was wondering what is the best and cheapest way of getting a 2nd Sky+ (box, subscription etc).

I know that the relocation will cost me £60 but ideally I would like to change my normal digibox to another Sky+.

Why don't you talk to Sky ? They may be able to offer you a deal. Worth trying.

Spoke to Sky, said it would cost me £199 for another box, plus £60 installation.
I'll more likely look to buy one from an auction site and then when I get relocated I'll get both Sky+'s installed that way.

Not sure if this helps - I am today ugrading from one standard sky box to Sky plus with multiroom - the 2nd box also being Sky plus - £198 for the both boxes, no installation charges and only £10 extra per month on my subscription.

I think you need to talk to them again. They are offering a second Sky+ box for £99, with free installation. The fact that you already have multi-room might affect your chances.

I just spoke with Sky, and these are the options for multiroom:

    1. Normal Sky box = £49
    2. Sky+ = £99
    3. Sky+ 160 = £199

All have to be connected to a telephone line (as I'm half way through my 12 months).
No other charges. This is on for at least 2 weeks... they need numbers up for the stockmarket figures!
