Question How can I diagnose a problem with DVD Player (Pioneer DV-525)

Hello, I am trying to determine the best place to ask a question, hopefully this is it!

I have a region-free Pioneer DV-525 which I have kept for playing my region 1 discs. It now has this problem where it takes in a disc, spins it a little and then ejects it. Any disc, I have tried many.

I've recorded a video to demonstrate that I could upload if that were possible.

I don't really know where to start to diagnose and fix it. I only need it for my region 1 discs, my other players aren't region free!

If it does the same with CD's I would suspect a problem with the laser and/or disc motor/mechanism.

Yes it does the same with a CD. It's probably not worth the effort trying to fix, which is a shame because it was always a good multiregion player. I'll have to look at getting my other players (panasonic pvr boxes) region free.
