I have a Soundstyle XS105 series rack which i want to clean up a bit. It has been in the basement for a few months and appears to have some oxidation marks (I think), sort of a slight mottled effect. There are also some white "drops" that wont budge with a finger nail. Any recommendations for cleaning products/tips to get it back to a newish condition?

Johnsons baby wipes...

I would start with something like Peek which is a mild chemical cleaner, sold at Halfords and some DIY stores

Thanks Londondecca. Is white spirit a no-no?!?...just wondering about stuff that is lying about the house. May pop in to Halfords tomorrow. Any other ideas?

I would stay away from white spirits. Peek will cost only a few £'s and is very safe to use. Maybe Durlglit might help as I do not think it is a abrasive cleaner. The trick with cleaning is to use the mild products first unless you know what caused the problem and the type of material your trying to clean
