Purchased a DVD-575A, Denon 3805, Wharfdale Pacific Evo 30 floorstanders and matching centre speaker, Atacama Equinox AV stand, posh new cables, banana connectors etc. All arrived last Friday.

Decided that it would much nicer in a newly decorated sitting room so lunchtime Saturday I stated stripping wallpaper off, blinding the darker colours and apart from a 20 minute dinner break, worked through until 11pm.

Continued on Sunday from 7:00am until 4pm and then had to wait over night before the gloss dried before Monday evening when I put all the furniture back and started to install all my new gear.......

Took 2 hours to place all the equipment and wire it all up.

Switched it on at the mains..........

    Denon amp..........nothing.......dead...... :censored:

    changed fuse.......dead...... :censored:

Took all the cables out of the back apart from the power cord.....dead... :censored:

Called suppliers today.......confirmed that it must be a dead amp

    How annoyed am I......

Dont want to state the obvious but next to the power button there is a small plunger type button that turns the main power on I suppose you knew that though ?

Spoke to the suppliers (Peter Tyson) and they spoke to their engineers who's only suggestion was a new fuse or lead (both of which I tried).

They confirmed it was dead and they collected it the next day and dropped off a new one. Worked first time.

WELL DONE PETER TYSON. Excellent Service.....

God this amp sounds good !!! - Very complicated though (for me anyway).

The good news is you used Peter Tyson, a family firm with an excellent reputation up here. Leaps years ahead of the internet brigade. Did you know they are one of the biggest Linn dealers in the country?
