I've seen it much cheaper than that... in fact, that price is absoloutely absurd. I guess some people will be willing to pay it since it's OOP I believe. Not a bargain at all however.

Several retailers had it for half that price (or less in some cases) about two weeks ago. Most (if not all) of them have sold out now, but that doesn't suddenly make £50 a bargain price for it.

That kind of post redindian40 is not welcome on these forums. Any further incidences of abusing members will result in a temporary ban.

I realise you may be a little annoyed at other members getting on your back about your 'bargains' and to that end I would say particularly to lazarus, if you can find a cheaper price for one of redindian40's thread, please post it without any sarcy comments.

sensasian is laughable. Yes HOFD is $42.99 or something but it costs almost as much to ship-- $39 for shipping!! Hardly suitable for the bargain thread

Yup, but at $81.99 (approx £43.34) it is still cheaper than movietyme so I would have to disagree with you on that. Don't forget that the point of this thread was to find it cheaper than the original poster and unless Aretak can come up with one of his finds who actually has it still in stock I would have to say that Lazarus's find at sensations is still the cheapest.

Yeah i suppose... it may be cheaper, but i still dont think its a bargain. I agree with the second post by Aratek. Anyway its for ppl who are interested.

(i was pointing to the fact they advertise such a good 'bargain' but in reality they make up for it in overpriced shipping)

I think the original reason for the post from redindians is that he would like to find a cheaper price so that he can get himself a 'bargain'

Lazarus, I don't agree with that at all.

This forum is for DVD Bargains. Whether people post what they think is a bargain in the hope that someone else can come along and beat it or just search the net for a while a find a bargain price then post that, is what these forums are all about.

It is the good spirit of these forums that you see bargains posted and then another member comes along and posts a better price. If we stuck to what you have said, not only would we lose the friendly atmosphere we have here but no one would post anything for fear of it not being the absolute cheapest price and also someone then comes along and has a go at them about it.

    Greg

I just seen a HOFD set go on ebay for £80 + £7.95 postage. Theres also one on at £130.

I orderd my HOFD set from movietyme on friday, at £50 I still think it saves hassle importing etc as it is in the uk next day part. Now for the awful decision of whether to un-seal it or not........

Dont worry its normal for a lot of European countries to ask for ID for your first purchase.

I had to fax my Visa statement to Sony Style (belgium) when I bought a monitor.

Just sent a scanned copy of my electric bill. Since there is no indication of what they want, I thought this must be official enough without giving too much away!
