Didn't realise the R2 is cut. Any ideas as to what was taken out?

I believe that the only things removed were the shots where horses are tripped over, since the BBFC doesn't allow that if they feel it's been done in an unsafe manner. Of course, I'd expect that cutting out the part where a horse is tripped in the finale makes that part rather awkward -- a certain character's horse falling during that scene is one of the iconic images of the film.

The R1 is cut a lot worse however, with digital removal of blood and some other violence taken out. I'm pretty certain those scenes are in the R2 untouched.

The 2-disc Hong Kong and Korean versions are supposed to have the best picture quality of any release so far.

I have the standard 2 disc R3 version bought from CD-WOW and I'm completely happy with it. Fantastic DTS-ES discrete sound and fine picture.
