Easily the worst film I've seen in the last 12 months, and possibly much, much longer... and this from a fan of Zombie's music.

i liked this a hell of a lot more than cabin fever:rolleyes: or wrong turn  (talk about over rated) but what just didnt do it for me was the last 15 minutes it just went right of the rails.not the best horror film i have seen but a lot better than the new horror/comedy genre that is passing for horror now a days.

1000 Corpses is a good old bit o' fun. Personally, I liked it...it is what it is. It's not the greatest film in the world, but I have seen a lot worse.

The 'sacred Kill Bill' springs to mind!!!

Then again, I wouldn't take too much notice of the review; just look at the reviews for Independence Day & Kill Bill. Very funny indeed!
I'm always open to constructive comments, care to elaberate on your comments, or was it just a cheap shot cos it didn't agree with your opinion?

I got the R1 version as soon as it was released.I thought this was a good film but not great. This film is influenced by a lot of the 70's type 'horror' films that was released in that time period.Rob Zombie himself admitted he as a big fan of the orignal Texas Chainsaw Masacre (which is better than the first btw).

Movies are always down to personnel prefence anyway and i never really take much noticed of reviews. If i think something looks intresting i will watch it or buy on dvd.Yes the film is not that original but much better than the other so called hollywood horrors incl cabin fever (only average i thought) ,Wrong turn (poor) and that awful remake of the The Texas chainsaw Mascre.Yes the acting is better in the remake but i like the old film for it pure weirdness and being (i am sure Tobe Hopper was on acid when he directed this film) nasty. The scene where leatherface comes from behind the metal door and hits one of the charcters with the lump hammer in particular.

But this is my personnel Opinion but as Rob Zombie is making a follow up it must have made some money.

Tony.

THX & Smurfin'; I apologise for causing any offence. As you can see, I edited my original posting, more-or-less, immediately. It just came out all wrong (ooer!).

There's nothing wrong with any of your reviews; more power to you for writing them. I occasionally dabble in a bit of writing myself, & having tried to write reviews in the past, I know how difficult a process it can be.

It was a bit of a cheap shot, & that's why I withdrew it. I'm not too up myself to admit when I've been a dick and made a mistake. Again, sorry for not adding anything constructive.

Anyhoo, let's agree to disagree...I like 1000 Corpses, but I can see why some wouldn't. Each to their own, I guess.

A shame-faced and humble Ascomdog!

LOL no worries ascomdog, hey if we all like the same thing it would be boring I guess. But for the record, you do deserve to be shot for liking 1000 corpses;)

On reflection I should have given it 2/10....4 was way too generous:)

Only shot? Are you sure?

I was expecting 'hung, drawn & quartered"...at least! ;-)
