    Hi all,
Can somebody please tell me how to check the 'hours run' meter I keep hearing about..?
I have the 5 series 50" Panasonic and am curious about knowing if this screen realy is brand new or if it's been used as a display (I know I'm an untrusting so and so aren't I??!!).
Is this function a myth or does it really exist as I can't find anything about it in the manual...?!
Thank you very much in advance!
    :) :) :) :) :)

Highlight the sd mode, then select. It tells you how many times you have powerd on and off the panel and even better an hour meter. I think the hours are on the right PT and the on/off meter WT is on the left .
I dont know what the rest of the stuff is.

    PLEASE BE CARFULL IN THERE

    sorry lynx"

Thanks for taking the time to reply...
Could somebody please tell me if the hours run (PT - I think?) is actually in hours or in minutes?
Mine says PT = 180, so is that 180minutes or 180hours?
    Thank you!!!

Hmmm... That sounds a bit suspect?
A brand new Plasma (supposedly) with 180 hours (PT) showing on the meter!
I think I'd better give the shop a call as it sounds a lot like a reconditioned jobbie!!! :(

i know a few people on here have had different amount of hours on theres when new as they must run some tests or quality control. yours might be the one picked out for quality testing, if you have no buzzing and all your pixels are in tact then i would leave it knowing (or thinking ) atleast mine has been tested properly, enjoy it as its barely broken in

Thanks jmack, isn't 180 hours a little extreme for quality testing though?
If you guys think I should leave alone I guess I will... But does anyone think it's an reasonable amount of hours for a brand new display?

Anyone know if the Fujitsu PDS4229 has a similar hours meter feature hiding away somewhere?
