Hi Horneydragon, i posted a question about Harmony 655 vs MX500 but got no feedback. I see from other threads that you have a Harmony 655 remote and wondered what the plusses and minuses are vs MX500 which I have had for about a year now. I ordered this from Bluedo.com and it cost me about £85 but obviously this is an American remote and looking at the 655 this is obviously aimed at the UK market especially with the coloured buttons for Sky etc. I also like the fact that it is PC based and you can download data direct. I see that you have specific buttons for 'watching' TV or movie etc which are the same as the M1 ,2 ,3 buttons on the MX500 in a way. With the MX500 you have at least 10 hard buttons on the screen that you can 'relabel' to what you want as well as then an extra page for me but what about the 655? What is the maximum it can have? Also the Mx500 has buttons around the play ff/rw buttons to also scan/search chapters. Does the Harmony have these as separate buttons. Also when you set up the 655 to run the 'macro' this I believe comes straight from the website based on your equipment but can you 'customise' this command or is it fixed? I know that this is a lot of questions but I thought it better to ask someone who has firsthand experience rather than just see what the website says it can do and you seem to be happy with the 655 and I am wondering would it be that much betterthan the Mx500 to make it worth spending another £100 odd!!
