    You could try these:

I heard some a few years back and they sounded OK. The finish back then was very poor but the Americans seem to like them....
Not sure about availability in the UK. I know there used to be few dealers but i'm not sure anymorre.

I have my sound up really loud and horns would generally support that easily without straining too much. Secondly they offer a wider midrange and are the only speakers that could probably compare to the multiplex speakers used in cinemas.

have a look at the Electric Cinema story (scroll down). I saw this before I bought mine. Apparently Channel 4 are using them too. The horns make them much more efficient so they can play rooms this size if needed (or just go really really loud in smaller rooms!!!)

And I quote you on that final statement there '(or just go really really loud in smaller rooms!!!)' as it is bears relavance to the situation I am in now. It must be soo great though to just see how easy your speakers mannage such an intense volume and know that they can mannage so much more (unadivesed though at such potent volumes but you get what I mean)

All very well, but going loud in a smaller room is not always a good thing. Certain frequencies need a large room to 'Fill' otherwise things just boom around.
