Hooked up orbitsound t12v3 - no sound?

Hi, Just purchased this soundbar to hook up to Samsung UE40D7000. I am using the digital optical connection, I have followed instructions but have no sound coming out of the speakers. I tried it with an mp3 player via 3.5mm jack connection and still no sound. Does anyone have any ideas? I've telephoned orbitsound but it was an answerphone, requested callback but heard nothing! It's supposed to be simple to use and I am really frustrated as want to try it out. Thanks

Hi Sarah

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing problems and that you have not received a call from us.

Sometimes Samsung TVs will need to be set to ‘external speaker', this is a common issue and very easy to resolve.
It is strange that your MP3 player will not work, but I'm sure we can figure it out.
