I'm off to Hong Kong next Thursday and don't want to take my laptop with me.

I have decided to get an external card reader/storage device to allow me to download my pics onto it then wipe the card and carry on shooting.

I like the look of the Epson P2000, but availability is somewhat limited in the UK (ie. you can't get one!)

Has anyone recently been to or happen to live in HK and know whether and where this is available?

Alternatively, does anyone know HK prices for the Nikon Coolwalker?

    Thanks
    Chez

I would try shops like Fortress or Broadway. They' are like Dixsons over there. May be cheaper in some of the computer malls, but for the unexperienced you may be ripped off. But nevertheless I would recommend visiting the computer malls just for an eye openner in Monkok and Sam Sui Po (Golden computer acarde). They should be sign posted in the MTR stations or ask one of the attendants.

    Thanks 888 :)

I was planning on visiting those shops, but my problem was availability - in this country at least, there is a shortage of these.

I have, however, just managed to track down what must be the only one in the UK! lol

I am going to pick it up tonight...

Well, I haven't had a lot of time to use it, but I have to say the screen is absolutely astonishing.

It's one of the best TFT displays I have ever seen!

It can genuinely be used to review your images (as opposed to just giving you a rough idea of what's going on).

The transfers are fairly quick as well (took 9 minutes to copy, verify and wipe a full 512Mb Sandisk Ultra II CF)

The interface is a joy to use - very simple and effective.

I'll post a bit more when I've used it more, but so far very impressed!
