After some advice for my sister who is looking to buy a 5.1 setup alongside either a 42PZ80 or 42PZ85. The budget isn't very high, looking at no more than £250 preferably. The system will be mainly used for SD TV and Upscaling SD DVD's with the possibility of buleray/HD-DVD shortly.

Just looking for some expert advice on what her options are.

At £250 and the need to possibly add Blu-Ray (HDDVD is dead) you should really be looking at a AV starter system like this http://www.petertyson.co.uk/ebuttonz/ebz_product_pages/yamaha_av63.shtml
This will allow you to connect upto 3 items with digital 5.1 sources.
DVD
SKY+
SKYHD
PS3
PS2
XBOX360
Etc Etc.
And also has direct 5.1 input, so if your future Blu-Ray player has 5.1 direct out it can be connected via this method to give DolbyHD.
With most all-in-one systems you are lucky to get one optical input for a 5.1 source.
