Hi looking for a cheapish good way of editing movies captured on http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/124848/
on my laptop. Anyone recommend a way of getting the movies onto the laptop and some decent S/W to go with it?

    thanks

It's a miniDV camcorder, so the best (only?) way is to use Firewire. Do you have a firewire port on your PC? If so, get a firewire cable (probably 4 pin to 4 pin, depends on the connection on the laptop).

If your laptop doesn't have firewire but has a Cardbus (PCMCIA) slot then get one of these (comes with a cable and even some editing software)

Or if it has an express card slot, one of these

For software: my favourite is Sony Vegas, recommend the Movie Studio Platinum edition. Others to consider: Premiere Elements, Ulead Video Studio....
