I am busy researching a new Home cinema system and have decided on most of the components, but am unsure of speaker choice.

I am reading conflicting things about the best type for cinema surround but also for music.

The choice as I see it for my budget of £500 is (at present!?)

Q-Acoustics or Wharfedale Diamond 9 5.1 packages or MS Avant Premier Plus

I know that demo's are the way to go...but living in Inverness this is a bit of a problem.

So I am after opinions...bearing in mind I am not an audiophile but want a really good all rounder for my budget.

    :lease:

At that budget it's a tough one... the Q Acoustics are getting rave reviews and seem popular but i've not heard them... the Kef 2005.2 do a pretty damn good job of stereo but are definitely primarily aimed at HT. They'd probably be the choice i'd make. Take a look at creative-audio before buying all the gear as they do some great deals on combos and you may end up with some a lot better buying a package from one place.
