I am getting a pioneer plasma, looking at 5.1 speaker package - I have wooden floors & am mounting pio above fireplace. For speakers I was considering KEF 2005 or 1005 but want them stand mounted & they do not look great like that. I ws then considering Mission NXT's with the flat stands. My budget is £400ish - any ideas?

I have the Kef 2005 Eggs (six of them), with all, except the centre, stand mounted and have to say that I believe they look (as well as sound) very good indeed. However, I am the first to admit that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

However, you will have to spend more than £400 to get them - why not save a little longer.

Best of luck whichever way you go.

    Regards,

    Martin.
